An Iranian Revolutionary, Dismayed but Unbowed (SEE SMCCDI Note..)

SMCCDI Note: Ebrahim Yazdi is despised by most Iranians, except by his few ignorant and “optimistic” new Islamist colleagues,  who think that Islamism can be matched with Democracy. Indeed, Yazdi and his gang are considered, by an absolute majority of Iranians, as a kind of more illuminated-backwarded Islamist who helped the coming of cataclysm in Iran back in 1979, and that still try to save their face somehow.

Iran refuses to receive U.S. protest over ship incident (SEE SMCCDI Note…)

Read report here.

SMCCDI Note:  The US Adminsitration, including President Bush and his speechwriters and especially the US Department of State, must avoid following the ill path of some mercantilist or opportunistic European circles and/or Government, such as Britain or France, that are trying to accomodate some backwarded Pan Nasserian Arab circles of the PERSIAN GULF region in their desperate try to re-name the famous water body with the meaningless word of ”Gulf”; or worst with the illegitimate qualification of “Arab Gulf”

Indeed, such ill policy will only help the Islamic regime to use the nationalistic card and to try to rally Iranians, well known for their attachment to their cultural heritage and country, against those, such as America, who claim to follow principles and to respect others traditions or heritages.

In addition, such error of name prononciation, made recently by the US Adminsitration and Mr. Bush during his last visit of the region, will only help the Islamic regime to undermine the friendly feeling of the Iranian Nation toward America.

No one should forget, that Iran and Iranians will remain, in the region, till the end of times, and especially much after than the Islamic regime has disapeared and that all foreign military presence have left the PERSIAN GULF.

Again, the correct, historical and the UN recognized name, is the PERSIAN GULF, and SMCCDI would like to invite those members of American Adminstration who have a lack of knowledge, to study the fact sheet located at:   http://daneshjoo.org/article/publish/article_2385.shtml

Members of the US Adminsitration must especially not relay on those few Iranian writers, such as Amir Taheri, who when writing for some Arab newspapers, forget to use the full and correct name of the PERSIAN GULF, or that when writing for some American newspapers try to portray a riot in north of Iran as an Ethnic problem.  Indeed, the same Gas riot that happened in Qhaem-Shahr happened in other level in Sari and some other cities. They all marked IRANIANS discontent of the Islamic regime and in no case an identity problem.

As many Iranians say: “Mr. Taheri likes have only of Iranian, the ability of speaking the Persian Language, but it’s long that they have lost their Iranian soul”.

SMCCDI Note: The Movement wishes to express, hereby, its expression of deepest gratitude, toward James Macintyre and the Independent’s Editorial Board, who, contrary to some mercantilist British media, have used, in the below article, the UN recognized name of the “Persian Gulf”.

Bush trip gave irresistible urge to tweak tail of a superpower (SEE SMCCDI Note…)

See Times news piece here.

SMCCDI Note: The Movement wants to remind to Mr. Richard Beeston and to the London Times Editorial board, that the term “Persian Gulf” is not only used in Tehran, in order to qualify the famous water body; but that the term “Persian Gulf” is a UN well recognized and historical name.

Unfortunately, the writer and the Times Editorial Board have used, at many occasion, the meaningless term of “Gulf”; and even worst, in some occasions, the false name of “Arab Gulf” in some of their articles.

Such low ethic journalistic behavior, used by some Englishmen who are said to be normally very inclined to show their attachment to principles and ethics, is highly rejectable and is in no shape of any sign of respect of such a noble profession that should be the impartial journalism and reporting.

Indeed, these British media should avoid trying to help the illegitimate implementation of falsified data, in their readers mind, by giving up to some of England’s mercantilist circles, which are trying to accomodate some backwarded Pan Nasserian Arab circles of the “Persian Gulf” region.

Maybe those noble Britishmen sould also start to try to use the correct name of other entities, such as, coming to some of British occupied Argentina’s territories, the “Las Malvinas” islands; instead of persisting to use an illegitimate and colonialist name which is the so called Falkland islands.

Without doubt, by changing their bad behavior, they will only gain respect in the minds of readers aware of International terms.

The writer and the Times Editorial Board, are once again, invited to study, in case of a lack of knowledge, the well documented data fact sheet, on the PERSIAN GULF, at: http://daneshjoo.org/article/publish/article_2385.shtml

One other essential point, to always remember, is the fact that the “Iranian Nation” is different than the Islamic regime, and that the absolute majority of Iranians are rejecting its illegitimate rule.

Iran hits Bush trip as unwelcome (SEE SMCCDI Note…)

Report here.

SMCCDI Note: The word PERSIAN has been inserted by SMCCDI in front of the meaningless word GULF, used in the below article. The Washington Times editorial board and its staff writers must know that the name “PERSIAN GULF” is the UN recognized and historical name of this water body, and they must avoid playing here the low moral journalistic game of British media in order to accomodate some backwarded Pan Nasserian Arab circles of the region.

Indeed, no one should confuse the Islamic republic regime with the Iranian Nation itself, subjected to the Islamist tyranny.

Anything else than the proper use of the FULL name known as “PERSIAN GULF” is considered, by all Iranians, as a sign of disrespect and of wrong behavior.

Another issue, in the below article, is the ultra right wing style try, of the writer, to portray IRAN and its current unpopular leadership as only “Persian Iran”; BUT anyone familar with Iran and its current regime is fully aware that: Firstly, Iran is not only a Persian country as it’s composed by Iranians of various ethnicities who are in their absolute majority proud to be Iranian; AND that the highest levels of the current regime’s leadership are not even Persian, such as, its Supreme Leader who’s an Iranian of Azeri ethnicity.

It has been such mistakes, generated by some Ultra Right Wings circles of the US Policy, that have so far helped to fuel the propaganda machine of the Islamic regime, and have contributed to undermine the Bush Administration’s popularity among a majority of Iranians.

Another attempt to violate Iran’s sovereignty

Iraq, Iran Dispute 1975 Border Agreement (SEE SMCCDI Note…)
United Press International – World News
Dec 26, 2007

SMCCDI Note:  American and/or British governments must avoid mixing any policy, against the Islamic republic regime, with the interest of the Iranian Nation; They must especially avoid showing any kind of support, for the “very fragile” Iraqi Government, or to push its shaky leaders, in order to think being able to formulate any kind of illegitimate claim, in order to try to contest any part of the 1975 Algiers Accord; which is a well known UN recognized treaty.

An American and/or British governments’ move, in that wrong line,  will only help the Islamic regime propaganda machine, in order to harvest in Iranians’ well known patriotic feeling.

Also, the new and very fragile Iraqi Government must remember of the fate of Saddam and of the agressive Iraqi Army, when they tried to disregard the very same 1975 Algiers accord, by invading the Iranian land in 1980. In addition, the Iraqi leaders must also remember that their country still owes billions of dollars, to the Iranian Nation, for the destruction caused by their countrymen’s repealed agression.

Iranians have shown, massively, on how they can unite in order to fight for the respect of their borders, and of the very same UN recognized 1975 Algiers Accord, which re-established Iran’s sovereignty over half of Arvand-Rood.

Without any doubt,  “everyone” must expect that Iranians will rise, once again, in order to demonstrate their firm determination to protect any small part of their country!

—-

Iraqi and Iranian officials are in dispute over a 1975 agreement that defined their common border. While Iraqi President Jalal Talabani rejects the Algiers Accord, most Iranian officials uphold it, the Fars News agency reported. But Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki apparently accepts the accord, at least as a basis for discussion.

The accord set the border at the center of the waterway known as Arvand Rood in Iran and Shatt-al-Arab in Iraq.

A spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry said that Iraqi officials who talked of rejecting the accord are speaking without legal foundation.

Saddam Hussein and the Shah of Iran Mohammad Reza Pahlavi signed the accord in 1975. In 1980, after the shah had been deposed, Saddam tore up a copy of the document on national television five days before he attacked Iran, launching an eight-year war. Fars said.

This agreement was between Saddam and the Shah of Iran not between Iran and Iraq. We want good and excellent relations with our Islamic republic neighbor of Iran and we have talked with our brothers Iranians before about it, the Iraqi government Web site reported.

UK Government ‘loses’ terror decision

SMCCDI Note: The absolute majority of Iranians reject the backwarded and terrorist Marxist-Islamist group named as “PMOI” or “MKO”. Without doubt, this group and its political umbrella nor represent Iranians, nor are a credible and accepted Iranian opposition.

PMOI or MKO group is known to have been involved in the crushing of several Iraqi rebellions, as mercenaries of Saddam Hussein, at the issue of the first Persian Gulf war.

UK Justice’s questionnable decision, will only serve the Islamic regime’s propaganda machine. Indeed, it will be very easy for the Mullahs regime to claim about the existence of double standards in the “war against terror”.

Wary Of War, Persian Gulf Eyes Ahmadinejad Visit For Clues (SEE SMCCDI Note…)

Reuters – World News
Nov 15, 2007SMCCDI Note: The term PERSIAN has been inserted, by SMCCDI, in front of each meaningless word “Gulf”.

Reuters Editorial, like most British media, shows, here and one more time, of its lack of integrity and of reporting low morality by trying systematically to avoid using the histrical and UN recognized full name of the Persian Gulf, in order to accomodate some backwarded Naserian Pan-Arab circles of the region.

What a shame!!!

MANAMA  - PERSIAN Gulf Arab states hope Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will use a visit to Bahrain on Saturday to show his country is not seeking to escalate a standoff over its nuclear program, analysts say.

Ahmadinejad’s visit comes amid mounting concerns in the PERSIAN Gulf  that the United States could launch military action against the Iran, though Washington says it is committed to resolving the crisis over Tehran’s nuclear ambitions diplomatically.

“The (PERSIAN) Gulf  will be watching for reassurance that Iran is not seeking escalation, and will talk about its nuclear ambitions within international laws,” said Mansoor al-Jamri, editor of Bahrain’s independent al-Wasat newspaper.

British newspapers quoted Bahrain’s Crown Prince Sheikh Salman bin Hamad al-Khalifa earlier this month as saying Iran was developing nuclear weapons, a view shared by the West but rarely expressed in public by Iran’s Arab neighbors.

Iran says its nuclear program is for electricity.

Bahraini officials later denied the British newspaper reports, and an official account of the interviews he gave them said he had called for diplomacy to ease tensions.

PERSIAN Gulf  Arab states, including Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia have strong cultural links with non-Arab Shi’ite Iran through their own Shi’ite populations or the large Iranian community in the region.

They also have close trade links. Iran will sign an agreement on Saturday to supply natural gas to Bahrain.

But rulers in the largely Sunni-ruled and U.S.-allied region are wary of what they see as growing Shi’ite influence.

Bahrain is Sunni-ruled, with a majority Shi’ite population. Sectarian strife has flared in the past, but reforms such as pardoning prisoners and exiles have eased tensions.

However comments by an Iranian newspaper editor in July that Bahrain, home to the U.S. navy’s fifth fleet, was an Iranian province and should be returned sparked outrage and protests on the island. Iran swiftly rejected the comments.

PERSIAN GULF ARAB ROLE

PERSIAN Gulf  Arab countries have consistently warned against any slide into war over Iran’s nuclear program yet their input in dampening the mounting tension has been relatively small, analysts say, even though the region has the most to lose.

The PERSIAN Gulf  is the world’s top oil exporting region, and its economies are booming on a near five-fold increase in oil prices since 2002.

About 40 percent of the world’s globally traded oil skirts Iran’s coast through the Strait of Hormuz in the PERSIAN Gulf , and an Iranian commander last week said “martyrdom-seeking” militia could disrupt PERSIAN Gulf  transport routes in the event of war.

Talks to resolve the impasse have centered on the U.N. nuclear watchdog in Vienna, and among the United States, Britain, France and Germany under the auspices of the U.N. Security Council.

A Saudi proposal this month to set up a consortium that would provide Iran with enriched uranium for peaceful purposes has not helped defuse the standoff as Iran said it would not halt its own enrichment program.

“Ahmadinejad’s trip is a very good opportunity for Bahrain to open frank discussions on many fronts,” former Bahraini government minister Ali Fakhro said.

“I’m disturbed that not enough direct discussion with Iran has taken place, because it is a very important player in the region, politically, economically, militarily and culturally.”

This week, a Bahrain state news agency report quoted Iran’s Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki as saying Ahmadinejad’s visit aimed to enhance bilateral ties, and reiterated Iran’s stance that it is complying with international nuclear law.

Mottaki was also quoted repeating an offer made in May to share nuclear technology with PERSIAN Gulf  countries under the supervision of the U.N.’s nuclear watchdog.

Three terrorists killed in western Iran (SEE SMCCDI Note…)

AFP – World News
Nov 8, 2007SMCCDI Note: Unfortunately, there are some American circles that are trying to make believe that PJAK terrorists are looking to establish a kind of “democracy” in Iran.
This is a baseless claim which is rejected by a mojority of Iranians who are well aware that members of this separatist group, mainly non Iranians and recruited among Turkish and Iraqi Kurdish minorities, are simply tools in the hands of some foreign circles which are mixing hostility, toward the Islamic republic which is rejected by most Iranians, with the interest of the Iranian People and especially with Iranian Kurdish.

That’s why PJAK has no real success or popularity inside Iran and is doomed to carry limited terrorist attacks mostly limited to Iranian Kurdish provinces.

Such ill-policies are fueling the propaganda machine of the Islamic republic on the real attention of the US and Israel governments and their claims to be friend of the Iranian People.

TEHRAN  – Iranian security forces have killed three Kurdish rebels in the western province of Kordestan, the government daily Iran said on Thursday.

“Three armed members of the PJAK terrorist group were killed in Kamyaran county, Kordestan province,” the report said, without specifying when the incident took place.

The rebels were identified as “nationals of a neighbouring country.”

Iran’s Kordestan, Kermanshah and West Azarbaijan provinces, which border northern Iraq, have substantial Kurdish populations.

The Kurdish rebel group PJAK (Party of Free Life of Kurdistan), which is linked to the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) fighting the Turkish army, has been behind a string of deadly attacks in northwestern Iran in recent months.

Iran has repeatedly accused the United States of seeking to stir up ethnic unrest by giving material support to PJAK and outlawed rebel groups in other sensitive border regions.

Iran has echoed Turkey’s frustration over the failure of the authorities in northern Iraq to crack down on Kurdish rebels, but says it wants a peaceful end to the standoff.

Tehran does not back Ankara’s threats of military action in northern Iraq, where both PJAK and the PKK have bases from which they launch cross-border attacks into Iran and Turkey.
